i'm not someone who regularly gets coffee like this at all (in fact i don't drink coffee that often), but i met a colleague and it was mocha monday so let me get a mocha for 50% off. i got a white mocha and asked about how much syrup/powder they use - only one pump for the 12oz. this was SUCH a good white mocha! i don't often like white mochas because they're so sweet but this one had a nice amount of sweetness and there was some actual flavor to it (rather than just intense sweet white choco). it can feel a bit chaotic inside but that's purely because many people frequent this place which i love. a little messy but again, it's clearly a communal hotspot. i have been before once but at least 5 years ago, so i am glad this local biz is still buzzing!

Great local coffee and sandwich shop. Sandwiches are big - definitely perfect for sharing. We ordered the turkey pesto and toasted club. Delicious! Friendly service - and fast. Can always grab as take-away and head down to The Quarterdeck for waterfront seating, beer/wine and live music (but only as a sunny day option!).

Coffee and service and ambience. Great place to hang and read or use your laptop while drinking excellent coffee the front porch is a great place to hang out on.

On 5/13/21 My daughter and I were driving around and came across Auntie Irene's Expresso, Pastries and Gourmet Ice cream small shop. The shop had many seating options; Kids corner. Small nooks. The interior decor and design is atheistically pleasing. We chose the exterior seating with a view under the sun. It was not busy during this time. Only one customer ahead of us. We had already eaten lunch so we decided on ice cream dessert. I got the Almond Fudge on waffle cone. My daughter got the Maple Pecan on waffle cone. They were so yummy! We definitely will return to try other sandwich and pastries options they offer.

This place is has great food, yummy coffee and amazing customer service. Honestly, these women scream sunshine. The interior is cozy and welcoming with lively customers. There is a drive thru for your convenience, which I love! And they're always so sweet when I bring my dog

The ambience is nice and it has a drive thru! You can get drinks, icecream, desert, and sandwiches all in one place. Nice seating areas too to hang out.

Has a drive thru! Accommodating, friendly, local! Missing the seasonal lavender latte at Starbucks? Get it here! Totally chill, in a beautiful location!

If you're in Des Moines, make sure you go to Auntie Irene' Coffee Shop. I had the Roasted Turkey bacon, which was very appetizing. Customer service was great, kind, and friendly. The ambiance is bright, creative, and relaxing.

My boyfriend and I came for breakfast one Monday morning on vacation. I can't even pinpoint what I loved most about this place. The staff is so friendly, the coffee is delicious, the food is incredible, the ambiance is warm and inviting, and the view out to the water is a beautiful way to enjoy breakfast. We had the breakfast panini and breakfast sandwich (with turkey, it was unbelievable) the food and drinks were so quickly prepared also. We'll absolutely be back!

Stopped by on an early Saturday afternoon with some friends. There was a spot for us by the window. Parking was limited but since we parked some place else for lunch, it wasnt a hassle. There were only two baristas available. Both were managing the drive thru and the front register, but getting an order only took a minute to wait and about 2 minutes to get my order. Ordered a White Chcolate Mocha, 16 ounce, and costed $6 including task. My friend got the same. We both thought it was sugary, but not bad. Another friend of mine ordered a dessert bar and thought it was satisfyingly sweet. Overall, will probably come back to just catch up with some friends or just drive by for a cup of coffee.
